A Walk Through the Woods

This is a small game we play in theater. Please answer these questions:

You walk upon some wooded area, what do you see?

Allright so now you are on a path, describe it and what do you do?

You find a key, what is it like and what do you do with it?

You now find a cup, describe the cup and what you do with it.

You come upon a stream, what is it like and what do you do?

You now are at a house, what is the image you see and what do you do?

You now see an animal, describe it and tell what you do.

You see a human form, what is it and what do you do?

You are now leaving the forest, how do you feel and where do you go?

My AP Lang teacher did this for our class my Junior year.

It's pretty interesting, although it helps if you close your eyes and visualize while you're doing it.

You walk upon some wooded area, what do you see?

I see some squirrles running around. And some people having a picnic on a red and white checked blanket. The squirrels smell the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches of the picnic and start creeping in. It's peanut butter jelly time. But the people are not scared, actually they start rubbing the squirrels intimately. Then I suddenly notice the people have very bright and bushy tails. OMG FURRIES!

Allright so now you are on a path, describe it and what do you do?

Wellllll, I got a little bit tired of
Walking down the road one day, doo-dah, doo-dah.
I got a little bit tired of walking down this old blinding yellow
road,
So pulled my little tired old body off to a little rest area
And lo and behold there's a little field of little red flowers out
there,
And they, heh, smelled so good. Whoa.
I was gettin' pretty tired and they smelled so good, and I
Figured, well, I'll just stretch out in this little field of

POPPIES! POPPIES! POPPIES! poppies!
(Cough)
Hey, what a strange dream, man!
The little flowers, they smell awfully good, and I was pretty tired.
The old wizard's just gonna have to wait, man, because I'm just gonna
Stretch out again in the little field of

POPPIES! POPPIES! POPPIES!

You find a key, what is it like and what do you do with it?

I take the key to the nearest door I find. Instead of using it, I knock. A sultry brunnette answers the door, "Are you the Keymaster?"

"Not that I know of." Is my reply.

She slams the door in my face.....I knock again.

She repeats, "Are you the Keymaster?"

"Yes. Actually I'm a friend of his, he asked me to meet him here."

And then I get some.

You now find a cup, describe the cup and what you do with it.

The cup is fine and old and worn and comfortable. Though any among us would try to deny it, the truth is we all have seen this cup. So familiar, so memorable, so indelible. I cradle the cup in my arms, lovingly, and bring it to these two girls I know. You know them too. And these two girls use this one cup in the only way they know how.

I see a splendid house, built of bread, with meat doors and cheese windows, and and olive toothpick chimney. It is a lucious sandwich house in the style of hansel and gretel...inviting, delicious, welcoming, made with unusual care and attention to detail. I approach the house, because I want to be part of it, be one of it, be a participant in the love of the sandwich. I reach out the door, touch the knob, excitement pulsing in my veins and growling in my stomach. My hand tries to turn, BUT IT'S LOCKED. THE FUCKING SANDWICH THREAD IS LOCKED AND NOW I AM LOCKED OUTSIDE AND LEFT WITH THE LONELINESS OF MY TEMPTATION AND MY DESIRE TO PRAISE THE SANDWICH.

You now see an animal, describe it and tell what you do.

Near the house, a long and haired creature pulls itself from the ground. As it rises up erect, I see it is a lemur. In a twitch, it brushes the stray dirt off of it's noble hide. In an instant, he bends over on himself and starts licking his balls, then notices that another being is around, turns to me, eyes lock, and waves hello.

I can only blink, statuesque.

You see a human form, what is it and what do you do?

As the lemur turns to human form, it continues to lick and caress his own scrotum.

I say, "Hey Joel, wish you would keep that to yourself."

You are now leaving the forest, how do you feel and where do you go?

I feel angst, anger, embarrassment, rightgeous indignation, and humiliation as I ragequit the forest forever.

To lift my spirits,  I go play a round of Halo 3 before heading back to the forest.

When I did it, I acted like Bear Grylls and talked about killing people and animals for food and survival. Started out saying how I would teach them how to survive in the wild, Got berries and ate them, killed a dove with the cup and ate it, killed a bunnie with the key and ate it, used the cup to drink the water while talking about trout and bears and running water, saw a gingerbread house and told them candy was bad for a survivor's body and described how old women are full of nutrients, killed a bear with a bowie knife and skinned it, killed a park ranger for questioning my bear pelt, and finally fought snakes on a helicopter/plane. If only someone recorded it, well too bad for you guys cause I didn't say most of the funny shit.

Well I will describe to the best of my memories as to what the questions stand for. Bacon can jump in if I am missing something:

The forest represents life and how you percieve it to be...

The path is conformity to life

The key is intelligence and such

The cup is religion, the comment Rum made with that made me laugh my ass off

The stream/ water describes the sensual/sexual side of your life and how you percieve it. Knowing this, I cannot come up with a snappy thought to Rummy's comment

The house is society and how you take it. Eh, too bad?

The animal represents levels of fear and how you handle it...no comment

the human form is how you deal with people in a whole...again, no comment

and leaving the forest represents death and what you think will happen. So does this mean Rummy is an athiest? lol
