btw, PSUs don't draw their full load constantly. they only draw what the computer is asking of it. the price difference WITHOUT the 60% discount between the corsair 750W and the corsair 950W is $40. spare capacity is better than straining your PSU.

edit: looking at your comp starknight, wtf are you doing trying to apply super budget build logic to a high end build?
APB is a bad game, don't use it as an example.

But seriously, if you need more than 4 GB of RAM for a gaming computer, you're doing it wrong. And you can get the same amount of performance out of cheaper cards instead of buying a 580. God versus, he doesn't have to spend all this money on the computer, he can, I dunno, SAVE it.
holy shit
Also, I did a little googling on the military discount. It's not 60% off everything, it's 25-75 percent off. It varies. It may very well still come out closer to $3000 than previously thought. I'd find out what the total price is with the military discounts before any more "discussion" occurs.

Instead of bitching at Versus, who has constructed 2 or 3 full lists to help Coelit, a relatively new community member and a complete computer noob, on his first ever computer build, maybe you could toss in something constructive. Like say a link to a comparison test or performance results or a price to ratio chart or a voltage calculator. Or even a link to alternative parts.

I mean, holy fuck.

Edit:

TL;DR

Less bitching at each other, more being constructive and on-topic.

I did. Look a page back.
Ah, you did.

Most of the constructive bits got lost in the mountain of shit-flinging though.

Diglett never trolls.

Have people really needed more than 4 gigs for gaming? Aside from APB, I've always had enough.
