Be Right Back, Uninstalling

Sorry, I've been busy at work the past six days.

just making sure its not me - it's a firewall or something - i install chatzilla and type irc://irc.gamesurge.net/#brbuninstalling in the browser address bar - pop up trying to connect and says:

[ERROR] Unknown host “irc.gamesurge.net” connecting to irc://irc.gamesurge.net/ (irc://irc.gamesurge.net/). [Help] Reconnecting in 15 seconds. [Cancel]

I don't see much more I could do =\ must just be blocked

try using the US roundrobin irc.us.gamesurge.net or the individual servers directly. I've noticed that sometimes the roundrobin doesn't work properly and you keep getting that error until it picks one that actually works.

works at ome not at work... i'll try a bit more tomorrow, but i'm not hopeful

I can't connect to it on my lappy.

I'm using chatzilla on my macbook Pro and it just won't connect. I'm connected to the interwebs, I just can't connect to gamesurge.

seriously, i've never been frustrated with a piece of software before
i like hydrairc but it was kinda buggy last time i used it.

I have to say I dislike mIRC as well

There are countless IRC clients out there. Look harder.

i was having issues finding a good free, not shareware or trialware client for windows
fortunatately someone pointed out that there was an xchat build that was freeware

i like mibbit, but i want something i can minimize to tray and get out of the way, and mibbit would make me type in the channel and find the server from the list. xchat saves all that for me which is convenient.
