Zaius, just pick an open area and start building out from the road.  Someone will be 'round to put a sign up with your address sooner or later.

Didzo, I'm thinking of building soon somewhere on land.  I was thinking an island...  Then I'd end up making underwater minecart tunnels.
What's so special about the Wilds (other than Luin is there :p)? Try to sell it to me .

Found an island, build four walls and a pathway to my dock, and found a huge underground cavern (circled around once, now exploring the second story of the cave).  First vein of coal was 24, the next one I counted was 30.  No gold/diamond yet.

Also, this is what I came up with for mining prior to finding the cavern.

White is mined, colors are revealed (separated by which mineshaft revealed them).
This reveals every block without wasting any double-revealed blocks.

You're right. In a couple years the Cielo will be run down filled with drug addicted criminals (if not already). It will also be like those dirty stores you hate going to.

The wilds has just that; wilderness. And yes, friendly neighbours. Come, live nearby and borrow a cup of anything! Come play cards in the snowstorm and live from the indoor farm when the time comes that it's needed!

There are currently only 3 inhabitants there: Me, Luin, and MasterGH.

The only real requirement in the Great Wilds is to keep them that way. Also, respect your neighbors by not crowding them with your structures.
