Be Right Back, Uninstalling

actually I was making pre-fun of the "FAPFAPFAP" posts that seem to permeate the boards... I was genuinely surprised when they never materialized.

It is absolutely terrible. I let it all grow back out naturally, but another time some years ago I tried to dye my hair white, or a close equivalent, using store-bought DIY kits.

Needless to say that whenever I washed my hair after that it felt like it became one solid piece of plastic when wet. :/

Bleach ruined my beautiful head of hair way back when I was a freshmen. The die didn't even stay for very long either! It went from purple to pink/orange/blonde in like a week!

Wow that sucks... did you use straight bleach or one of those hair dye kits?

I know its expensive but that's one good reason to go to a hairdresser to have it done; its so much nicer on your hair and doesn't do as much damage. However if you're cheap like me, you can still do it with the kits... a tip to get it extra light and more permanent is to put the kit on as normal, and then cover up your hair as airtight as you can with a shopping bag (now remember kids, you'll want to leave your face out of this bag). It traps all the heat from your scalp and helps the dye and bleach process faster. More bang for yer buck!

Actually, now that you mention it, I did use a shopping bag for a little bit. But it was in the middle of December, and I was hanging out at an Independent Living Group (kind of like a frat, but degendered and way less cool), and a blizzard was starting to roll in. Stupid freshmen that I was, I wanted to get home before I got snowed in, so I said my goodbyes and hit the road running with a few friends. We were promptly greeted by 30~40 mph gusts. Being from Texas, this displeased me greatly. :-[

That was possibly the longest mile I've walked in my life, and towards the end I started to black out; I literally could see nothing but black, and apparently walked into a parked U-Haul before someone came back to guide me home seeing-eye-dog style.

But yea, I guess I should've let the dye set a bit longer :p

I have nothing to contribute to this hair color discussion as I've never had to use dye for my hair to up and change color (for the record, I miss the blond days of my youth).

Last uni exam tomorrow, so obviously I have to put off studying as much as possible

When I was in high school my mom convinced me to let her dye my hair. I was bored enough to let her try. That's when I learned that Dark Brown hair + blond hair dye = bright orange. I looked like a clown... I don't let people without formal training fuck with my hair anymore.
