Childish Gambino-Freaks and Geeks w/lyrics

gambino is a mastermind
I like Gambino, but his early stuff is drake-style twitter spit, it's good but it's not really that complex, he just ends all his lines with rhymes and jokes, as if he were #hashtagging them.

I really like this one he collabs with Chance the Rapper;
Chance The Rapper - Favorite Song (ft. Childish Gambino) - Acid Rap (HQ W Download)

I have to agree. I like his beats and his flow is alright, but I find myself disappointed by his lack of lyrical complexity. Despite the references to video games and TV shows, his lyrics are a bit too mainstream-y for me.

He has talent, his lyrics suck. They aren't clever enough to be a "clever" rapper and they aren't hard enough to be a gangster rapper and they aren't party enough to be a club rapper.
This video is a mind fuck. I can't wait for the album  ;D

I dunno about that, the crowd at his show in Gainesville this year seemed to find him party enough.
im looking for some good albums to listen to while i drive.
Preffered free (note: actually offered by the band or label for free)

no real preferred genres
the majority of rap, hip hop, and country are not what i listen to as most of it is bad and repetitive to me.

post me more vids and links to free stuff

The top link in particular.  the other albums on the label by Pretty lights are also good, and there is also Gramatik, who is good.  All of it free.

If you like to drive fast I reccomend this:

EDIT: It is a free download from the artist as well, which is nice.
free driving music: The Kleptones, Girl Talk

He's biting a style to sell a gimmick; nerdcore hip hop has been around for a while already and he's kinda just coming in to ride the wave, so to speak.

I'm basing my suggestions off of the assumption that you want music to drive to rather than just having music for playing in the car while driving.

No free stuff, but VNV Nation is my choice for go fast drive hard music. Songs listed are mostly instrumental because the lyrical content and vocals may or may not be to your liking. The Matter+Form album has some great intense beats that go great with breaking speed limits. Chrome, Strata and Interceptor (two tracks that really should just be one long song), Entropy, and Lightwave. From other albums and EPs, tracks that stand out as great driving music are Saviour (I prefer the Vox version with lyrics, but that's me) and Electronaut. Electronaut is probably my favorite driving track of all.

VNV Nation - Lightwave

Infected Mushroom albums that are Vicious Delicious and older are also driving music favorites for me. Songs can get into the 8 minute mark, but avoid feeling dull or repetitive. Need for Speed 2-4 OSTs are also a good source of bullshit free electronic driving tracks. I have plenty of other recommendations if these are either hitting or missing the mark.

New VNV Nation album coming up early October. I'm not expecting an Empires 2.0 or PTF 2.0, but based on the teaser track, I'm guessing that there will be a little more grit and edge than the last couple of albums.
