Defiantly agree with this. It lets you hear the tone of awkward-ity... in their voice. In a show like this (since the entire thing's one big parody anyways) english dubs work better.

also no, these dubs are bad as usual (edit: i'll admit they aren't evangelion bad)

supposedly baccano's and black lagoon's dubs are pretty good though, for dubs anyway

They are weird in some places, but thing thing is because the whole show's one big parody anyways, it fits perfectly. For the record, I do usually prefer original voices, but this is just one exception.

I mean, if you wanna compare them to "bad" dubs, go try and watch Higurshi no Naku Koro ni in english for more than 20 seconds. Keiichi sounds like freakin SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!

Oh hey, speakin of Tohos. My sources say that movie thing of theirs should be uploaded sometime on the 28th. My sources also say it's "pretty good". My sources are very stingy with their info.
