One major advantage to Champloo is that is actually has a story arc, while Bebop spends 2 of it's 26 episodes on a story.

I lol'd
So I started watching Casshern Sins today, after liking Casshern in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It's pretty good so far, seems like the story will get very interesting. I like the art style of it a lot too.
There was this one anime that was supposed to be the height of space opera, it had some really long name that kept changing every couple of seasons. It was about some space race that basically ran shit as royalty and the conquered earth without a fight because they showed up and were basically like look we run shit around here and we have much better weapons. We don't really want to kill you but look did we mention that we run shit around here? And then the earth president was like hmmmmm yea you got a point there we surrender.

The story then cuts forward and follows the son of the president. He surrendered on condition that humans be taken seriously and his son be inducted into their version of royalty. So the son is being shipped out to learn their ways and be trained to be whatever.

Anyways the series seemed like it would be great but it dragged like the second half of the first season and I stopped watching it. If anyone knows the name and if its worth revisiting let me know.
That seems like Crest/Banner of the Stars. Do the aliens have elf ears? If so then that's probably what it is. Space opera anime tend to drag for a while anyway. I found it enjoyable for the most part.

This is exactly it. So it was good?
Alright, I'm trying to get this whole Touhou thing, but I'm still lost. I see a couple lines of diolauge before each boss battle... yet there's a huge story from this?  ???

Anyone mind trying to fill me in?

Is there an anime I'm missing?
