Uh...how is this horrible?
If memory serves me right, there is already a film adaptation of the manga and it works. Of course, it was a Japanese film.

Give me one good example of an anime/manga to live action film adaptation that didn't make you want to rip your eyes out.
[/quote]The Death Note one that already exists. It has 2 movies for each half of the series and both even had a limited theatrical run in the States.

I mean hearing from them from before. Didn't really look into them since live action + anime/manga just doesn't really add up in my head.
Plus, with the whole thing being done by an American director, I can't help but think of Dragonball Evolution...
I remain "cautiously skeptical".

At least it's not a German director AMIRITE UWE BOLL?
So much fantastic racism in this thread.

Shane Black is amazing, so stfu. (also from what i've watched, death note is pretty mediocre, so...)
Also, i just watched the first episode of the iron man anime, and it's just awful.... truly truly the worst thing i have ever seen.

Naw, Mugi was the most forgettable character anyways. All she was good for was dispensing extremely expensive tea and cake every day.
