if you're talking about morrowind vs oblivion theyre both good it just that oblivion needs mods before it gets good whereas morrowind doesnt
it's $13 for both, just buy both.

i def enjoyed oblivion even without mods, whether or not its enjoyable is not the question. morrowind requires a ton of research and a steel will to get through the early levels but late game is really fun
i enjoyed oblivion for about 30 hours before i got fed up with every dungeon being exactly the same. same layout, same monsters, same bullshit over and over. with mods apparently it's a LOT less repetitive, but 30 hours is pretty good for 8 bucks imo. dunno about morrowind but of the 2 people ive talked to that played both, both preferred morrowind to oblivion, so hopefully that says something good about it

yeah morrowind is not nearly as copy paste as oblivion but its kinda frustrating to get into since theres no real tutorial and its kinda needlessly complex
Also the gameplay is a bit dated (all your attacks are based off of dice rolls from your skills and agility attribute as well as luck.. so if your char is shit he'll miss ALL his attacks).

But there are mods that make it more bearable, and if you can get over the more dated gameplay and install some sweet mods on top of it, it's a much more inspired and interesting game world to play in.

oh yeah that was my least favorite part of morrowind, i played a retarded orc with like a million strength so i never hit anything but if i did id do like 2000 damage. retarded IMHO
Thanks for all the tips on Oblivion mods.  I'll give 'em a go when I've got some time.  Danke.
ya $8 is worth it plus it comes with the dlc you can't get anymore on pc, (bethseda randomly removed it form their website, its basically just like 8 extra dungeons)

This is exactly what I liked more about Morrowind, it was more complex, and had a very sink or swim feel to parts of it

Morrowind was a far better game for me. I can't say why, the combat was worse, the voice acting wasn't as good. It just felt like a much more playable.

I played Morrowind, every expansion back, tons of Mods, and then deleted my saves and did it all again.

I don't think I even finished Oblivion, now that I think about it.

its cuz oblivion has exactly 3 dungeons pasted over and over and over and 3 enemies: monster humanoids, people, and vermin
But Oblivion doesn't have cliffracers.

On a different note...

Crysis and Crysis Warhead are on sale for 50% off each ($15 and $10 or $20 for both) on Steam.

Took advantage of Crysis day.

No use having an uber gaming computer without Crysis to brag about.
oh shit can't wait for sunday
