The game actually records your computer's specifications, your personal information, and any data stored on it, and then forwards it to the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for further analysis.
Just to scout for potential astronaut candidates, of course.

Metro 2033 is on the list, don't spring for the download just register it on steam
alternatively you can just burn the contents of whatever they make you download onto a DVD.
