He does so much burst harass. Last game I played I got so many kills and snowballed, just because people weren't expecting so much damage so early in the game. Plus he can lane like crazy.

AD Yi is the way to go on both the long run and the short run.

The only appeal to AP Yi is meditate.

If you want real burst play a real ap champ(sion would be a good substitute if you dont like skillshots), the cooldown on alpha strike is too long for it to be viable as your only damage ability. You're also wasting the AS from your ult. Jungle AD yi is the way to go imo.

yeah ap yi sucks

he's not a burst champion, if you're looking for that, play an assassin

also, melee champ that has no cc is pretty fail

Both work well within certain parameters. AP Yi is simply a different style that retains it effectiveness when played correctly.

lemme put it this way
playing spy as a heavy is comparable to playing yi as ap instead of ad

it's like playing tank eve

you can, but it sucks in competitive play.
granted surf might not be quite at that level where he really cares.

Zane is right, in playing solo queue AP yi is fun (and p effective). But I doubt I'd win premades with him. Also I am going to buy the new champ no question.

i wonder how effective his ult will be thought they haven't shown how it affects people, only from his side of things.

Jarvan and Nocturne are both the shit. I play so much better as jarvan though.
