I bought him and I like him, but like you said he is tricky. Usually I suck with him till late game because I suck at getting those early game kills.

i bought brand and i love him, he dominates all game and he is the ultimate harasser! frankly, he's much better than most other nukers and casters.
He's pretty good and pretty well balanced, but I find he's not as strong late game as other nukers who have more reliable cc. That said he's really fun to play and that's why I've been using him instead of malzahar or anivia lately
