Had an epic 75-80 minute game last night. Defended Nexus with no towers for over 20 minutes. Aced the other team every time they came to finish, but go trapped behind super creep waves until our Irelia caught a cross. I <3 MF so much, chopping up kids through Thornmails with a hybrid AS build 8)

shaco is decent for cleaning up kills, but he's like most other assassins, they can't initiate and they have to dip in, do damage and get out.
that's the reason shaco doesn't do well, he's squishy, but he doesn't do much burst
and anyone who can afford oracles at the teamfight point will shut down his escape, or his initiate
he takes a lot of skill and awareness to play, that said, if you can do well with him, you'll do well.
straight ap isn't really the way to go though, take advantage of backstab

I would pass on the AP/level glyphs. Penetration runes will always give you more bang for your buck, except possibly for a 5 minute period in game after you buy MPen boots but before anyone has any levels/tank gear.
