I had an interesting pubby experience today.  After getting ganked when Mordekaiser left mid they call me a shitty player for not staying on top of him all of the time, despite the fact that they ignored my mia calls.  This happens repeatedly and ends up with two guys with 4 and 6 deaths respectively shouting at me(with 0 deaths) in all chat because they don't know how to stay under a turret when three people are against them.  I honestly cannot comprehend how I would be in the wrong, so please tell me if it sounds like I was.

Apparently Morde has no sustain and should be incredibly easy to zone out.  What is this I don't even.

So Riven's out, season is over. At 1218, so no shiny bullshit for me. Probably gonna purchase Riven as she seems awesome. Fun fact- apparently her moveset/playstyle is based off of Marth's SSBM/B movesets.
Also all the bullshit I've been spouting about the buffs from a while ago making Leona viable? Yeah, that kinda came from theorycraft but goddamn if it isn't true. Leona/Cait bot plays like Taric/Cait bot, except with an additional movement prevention. I also love the whole "stunning baddies who dive you while tower/lane partner hammers on them" maneuver. Fed plenty of allied carries that way :U
I'm not smitten with Riven. But I gotta try AP shaco again now that they fixed all of his jack-in-the-box issues.

It's great for trolling but if the other team is even a little bit competent you're better off picking a different champion. The only thing I find shaco to be good at compared to other AD carries/junglers is backdooring/splitpushing.
Q, attack, q, attack, W, attack, Q, attack.

You can throw in E before attack, but it cannot comes after Q unless you need to run.

Yeah from what I've seen her dash is like REALLY short range, you cover more distance with the Broken Wings combo.

Rivan has a high learning curve, which is in par with Irelia's when she was first release.

Seeing on Gamefaq's on Rivan advice, I would probably head down the item build as:

Start out with Longsword + potion, boots + 3 potions, or cloth + 5 potions.
Build up a Mandred's Razor and then get boots.
Finish wiggle's
Finish boots with Mercs
Head straight to Trinity Force
Black Cleaver for Apen
FoN or Randuin's depending on the other team
And then either Ghostblade or Infinity Edge

Seems WAY too fragile for Longsword start. Doran's Blade helps that and gives just about the same amount of damage as longsword and will stay useful. I'd say mercs would in general have to be the best choice, unless you're owning in which case I'd prolly get Lucid boots. I've heard tell that TF isn't the best on her but Cleaver seems like it'd work. Also think she needs some CDR as well. It kinda sucks that she has absolutely NO AP ratios so that kills a bunch of items for her, especially in the CDR department :/
You can get her lucidity boots, but I tend to think that Mercs are better for everything.

If you can, you can swap the ghostblade with the black cleaver for some CDR as early as possible.

The only use for Sheen is for the proc, which is actually a huge boost combined with her passive.

Doran's is probably the best if you are laning with a partner. I was keeping in mind on soloing top lane, where most tanky DPS goes.

yeah lucids are nice but again, only if owning

brut fast is p standard with most ad casters/half casters and for good reason, it's just this one youmuu is actually good on

yeah it's the sheen proc but 2 wasted stats, not to mention that you in theory have really great sticking to power, imo i'd just get a frozen mallet it just seems to suit what i'm getting from her playstyle better (not burst, but sticking with target and dealing deeps)

doran has to be the superior choice period imo, that health helps you even solo so that other more bulky bruisers don't shit all over your life, it grants the same amount of ad as longsword, and dat lifesteal is pretty decent sustain in solo
isn't her base damage shit? making sheen pretty much a bad choice
(09-15-2011, 02:57 PM)zaneyard link Wrote: [ -> ]isn't her base damage shit? making sheen pretty much a bad choice

her base is middling at level 1 yeah and her aas at 18 are in the top 10 lowest, sheen isn't great on her, get a frozen mallet kids
So dominion....total tease?
With Soraka's changes she actually plays better building AP and killing people. I had the highest kills on my team last game I played with her.
Trinity is terrible on Riven. Don't be a bad.

Jungle Riven solves all her early game problems.

AD Reds, Armour Yellows, CDR Blues, AD Quints

First 5 Skill Order: Q, W, E, E, W
-Vampiric Scepter
>Wolves>Wraiths(Smite)>Golems>Recall
-Cloth Armour-Health Pot
>Blue(Smite)>Wolves>Wraiths>Red(Your choice to clear here or recall for Madred's)
*Perfect Jungle for Riven is over in just over 5 minutes*

Riven can safely solo Dragon at 6 w/ Wriggles.

Build Follow-up: Wriggles>Boots(Don't upgrade yet)>Phage>Brutilizer>Lv. 2 Boots
If cunt punching > Finish Frozen Mallet/Ghostblade and commence overkill with a Atma's/BT
If cunt punched > Finish Frozen Mallet, get GA/Hexdrinker, Change play style to be a disruptor(Open with W, Qx3 immediately in teamfights)

I've tried stacking the shit out of CDR, and the only merit is you get to die more trying for that quick stun. There's a melee CDR gap for gear baring a Ghostblade/Lucidity combo, but as it's been said, Tanky DPS must have Mercs.

For the lulz, I did try crit Riven. PD is super effective, but there's only so much you can do with small shields to stay healthy.

I haven't lost a game that I could jungle with Riven; her hotfixed buff is nice, but her laning is still weak.
