Unfortunately not. The cockpits are a serious issue :\ But I don't even go up in the air due to AA issues. Even with the AA nerf you're still a giant target.

Cockpits are perma for the time being. Although... for your huds there's an option in the gameplay(?) section that let's you center your hud components(Ammo/Shield/HP/Active) into faded arcs around the reticule. Infinitely better than taking your eyes off it to look in the corners.
the minimalist hud mode is better.
Squad up, if there was one thing i learned from battlefield and is reinforced by ps2, you are not a one man army that can kill/capture/do everything.
The game is better that way, but the pacing can be so bad at times.. 5+ min to get to a location, then dead
Of course being a vet from the original you know most of these things
ugg another 2 gig patch...

Finding a squad or platoon that is actually doing shit and has members that can follow instruction is sometimes frustrating, and even with that it's sometimes hard to find action.
On fight finding: The map is complete shit at giving you an overview of where things are going down, so experience is the best way to know where the big fights are happening.
I spend more time updating this game than I do playing it.

There are squad waypoints. There are also waypoints the entire faction in vision you can drop, but i'm assuming that it takes the utility slot. Still it's nice to see a purple light tower at an entrance and an entire toon surrounding the building.
A reminder: your ability to buy alpha-squad ends friday. It pretty much is just buying 40 dollars worth of station cash in advance, but it gives you free weapon unlocks for each class, free xp boosts, and some other bonuses.
Also: The beta ends on friday at midnight PST and launches again tuesday as the full game (hopefully). So, we only have two days left to cause some rucuses before the riffraff starts to show up.
I'm tempted to buy into Alpha-Squad, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

well, if you expect to spend any station cash at all, this is basically giving you extra bonuses for buying station cash early, basically.
Anybody want to play next week? My schedule this quarter is hell but once Monday's midterm is out of the way, I'll have a few free days on campus until Thanksgiving (classes gettin' canceled in the already short week, hell ya).
So basically I need to have a pretty concrete time or at least a date in order to make playing videogames with people doable.
