Personally I don't have a hard-on for it but I do find it fascinating. I'm a people watcher type person, I mean I don't actually watch people but I find culture and human interaction to be fascinating (dad was an anthropology major). Anyways Japan has one of the most interesting cultures to me because of how different it is. It's very rigid but with like very specific and strange outlets for sexual and social tensions. The philosophy is pretty neat and the actual country seems really pretty and interesting (plus I'd travel anywhere for good food). Also Japan is basically nega-Florida.
unless you have been there you cant possibly have what i would consider an decent view of what its like, its like me with america, ive only been to a small part of it, and the rest i have to base on the media, i know for a fact you dont all live in new york above a coffe shop. japan is probably just as fucked up as the rest of the world but they have better media control than other countries, i dont know i havent lived there.
See I always look for the good things about every place I visit. Plus I am a very curious by nature and plan on indulging my curiosity as much as possible before I die.
