my friend's cat is the type that will go from pet to attack mode instantly. One night we were sitting around and she was staring intently at another friend for minutes. As soon as he looked over to his side she flew at him, gotta love momis.

Hipsters with internet signs totally give the movement legitimacy.
And didn't know Mr. Bean is a fan of F1.

I believe he's actually a huge motorsports fan. He was on Top Gear, and I believe won that seasons Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Rowan Atkinson has a 40' hardon for fast cars, in addition to his McLaren F1, he also owns a Lamborghini Reventón and an oldschool DBS V8 Aston Martin, to name a few.

I have nothing against a convention dedicated to Minecraft but the at-door reg. is around $120 and early bird was $100 (the site doesn't list the pricing anymore since the tix are sold out)
WTF, people actually would spend this much money to get into a convention?
And for those who don't believe it, here is an article stating the pre-reg price:

These are not the same people who paid 5 dollars for a game they were going to buy in the future.

They should have not run MineCon in Las Vegas. For what fucking reason would you do that?

In addition to that, I assume the Mandalay Bay Convention Center was a good deal for him. Also, aside from the ridiculous entry fee, the hotel room prices at the Mandalay Bay (and especially at the more basic Luxor) are very, very reasonably priced and it's convenient to be able to get from your room to the event by going down an elevator and walking for 5 minutes.
Oh, and I heard that Vegas is fun for the 21+ crowd.
Having been to Vegas a few times, I can say that almost all the hotels are VERY reasonably priced. Unless you're staying in a super upgraded room on the top floor of the hotel, or at a more high-end hotel such as the Bellagio, the rates are really cheap (under $100).
Vegas is pretty fun but yea, those con badge rates just seem so ridiculous to me...
Vegas is probably the cheapest place he could've held it. Those hotels are so mad for business they probably rented him the space at no charge.
