I don't mind Google+ honestly, I've beenThere are lots of pages to play around the using it lot lately thanks to Ingress and the majority of players who meet up use it to organize events and communicate while playing (including hangouts) because using the in game communication is basically announcing to the opposing team your plans of attack. Note,  I play resistance.

There are lots of places to play in and around Columbus (yes I'm here Sogo and Luca).

Its more that people don't want

A) Their real name attached to everything
B) Google can already connect all the dots on the back end, why do we need to show everything on the front end?

Sure some people might want to do the whole LOOK AT MAH NAME ON EVERYTHING across all accounts and be super social and open, but the vast majority of people want things to be ala carte. G+ got the whole circles and privacy things right, if they really wanted to be cool about it they'd allow you to select who say what display name even. To people in BRBU they'd see 'caffeine' and a slightly different profile than say my real name to a 'work friends' circle.
