Judicial system really need to add a more Judge Dredd element to it; Wasting court time with bullshit lawsuits? Good News Grandma! Little Susy's Tourette's and PTSD are going to be fixed with lead-infused exploratory surgery! Oh, she's having a miraculous recovery? Wonderful!
Or at the very least, start levying massive, life-crippling fines for suits that are thrown out.

Some courts are already levying fines to pay for the cost of the courts time IIRC

Loser pays works well to stop frivolous suits but that can also hurt cases where there is a large disparity between the wealth of the parties. A broke person would not press a worthwhile case if he thinks his lawyer will be outmatched and then he has to pay for the expensive other lawyer.

That is quite unfortuantly what happened to the lolicon case in Iowa. The guy could have very easily won the case had he had the funds to fight it at all. Due to the lack of money however he wound up going to jail over bull shit that is easily an incredibly corrupt double standard of law. Unconstitutional actually, since the law protects freedom of speech and anything involving artistic merit. Even without that artistic merit (pron), they still can't do anything as the law is only supposed to go so far as to protect REAL children not fictional ones.

What I believe you are talking about is a bit different and has to do with the problems in the public defender system versus problems with disparities in civil trials.

Like personal possesions. Don't like the same music as their parents. Don't act civil.
They sound like normal kids...
