where do you guys see this?

according to joystiq, you have to buy the GOTY edition of borderlands to get the demo access key

Go to Games in Steam, right click on Borderlands, select "View Game CD Key."

DotA 2 by Valve.

Edit: But the real news is that SOURCE IS GETTING CLOTH PHYSICS! YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!

Edit: Also, this makes six games by Valve that end in "2". It is clear they are incapable of "3".

Only thing I know about DotA is that it's some RTS and a mod of Warcraft 3 or something.

That said, because it's made by Valve, I'm buyin it.
It's like Demigod, HoN or League of Legends. Its kinda like an RTS mixed with Diablo. You control one "hero" (in original DOTA there's 101 different heroes to choose from) and it's not like other RTS' that are mainly based on resource management and base building. You gain gold and experience by killing enemies, towers, structures etc. which guard the way to the enemy's main base which you destroy to win the game. You can upgrade different abilities for your hero, get items specific for him, etc. It's fun but the first one is very unwelcoming to new players.

Anyone want to try this and report back?
I've only played the dota mod of starcraft 2

Agreed.  I play DotA with my friends, and after two years I still can't get the hang of it.

League of Legends does it much better than HoN or DotA in my opinion.
stopped reading
league of legends is for people who dont bother taking the time to actually learn the game and want to point and click with no reprecussions
Yeah I hope League of Legends isn't the top game out there for that style of gaming lol It's very easy and simple to play, though of course you have to be wary of the characters your fighting and know how to properly use them or you'll suck pretty bad.  Can't just run right into the middle of things and hope you win.

the sad thing is you can 70% of the time, but it will mostly end with the good player yelling "dude get the fuck back" and the bad player will get back without dying
no repercussion

and then you'll team will win because of two good players anyway
god its just terrible logic
