Spore is all about abstinence, while Vandam goes for more of a "surprise buttsex" approach.

People who buy $60 PC games are screwing the rest of us over by making publishers think that's okay >_>

Hell, most games today are only worth $30-40 (console-wise) but still get away with a full-price ticket.
I know this isn't a good example, but at least the new Banjo Kazooie game had the decency to only charge $40.

Agreed. I mean Brink for instance. It was purely a multiplayer game (single player's just multiplayer with bots) yet they still price it as a full game. TF2 when it launched was priced as it should be, a purely multiplayer game. $20 outside the orangebox iirc. Brink is no better, yet they charged $60.

i thought it was $30 outside ob upon release but not sure

So now EA's saying they didn't actually decide to pull the game from steam. Apparently they violated some rule for steam dealing with another digital retailer, then that caused the game to get expelled.
I dunno, maybe it has something to do with that "Only Available on Origin" sticker they had on there.

Disgaea 4 is $50. I feel slightly better paying PS2 prices for console games at least.

Yeah, it's probably best for publishers to launch games at $60 and then have them fall to $40 in a couple weeks. Then people say, "Hey, this full priced game has dropped down $20 dollars. I think I will purchase this. "
Oh, yeah if you wait a couple weeks games drop in price $20 dollars.

I like how not even 2 months after Dead Space 2 launched it dropped from a full $60 to about $30. Meanwhile it's still full price back on consoles.
Love me some actual PC title prices.

I guess Valve is finally doing a little bit extra with the media portion of Steam. I think we're going to start seeing soundtracks to games coming.

How about hardware? The new releases tab has the Razer Hydra motion controller for 140 dollars. Crazy.

Edit: Ok, the trailer for that thing is kind of neat.
