I just didn't find HoN fun.  My first game I accidentally played ranked and I was all like "guys who should I play" and they were all like "fuck is this your first game"  and I was all like, "iuuuh, possibly."

I ended up playing as some fire guy (pyromancer, or maybe the pyromancer for the other time) who had nukes and slows/stuns.  I actually did well (I guess, the other four players said I did really well for my first game).  We won :p.

I'm going over to my buddy's house to play some DotA right now and I bet I'm going to suck butt.  I really need to learn the items better... What always gets me is the horrid controls of WC3 for this type of game (deselecting ftmfl, and the fact that my hero runs in without me telling it to -.-).

Anyone want to try this and report back?
I tried this for you man. It's somewhat slow paced, but could be fun with a few people here playing together. Hit me up on Steam if you'd like to ask anything about it.
That makes me pine for the zombie MMO Exanimus that was canceled :C

I think all the new stuff Valve is adding to the Steam Community to encourage being helpful and to limit the DotA douchebaggery in the community is pretty cool.
There is a new Steam beta available. Now you can recommend games and it makes it easier to purchase games for friends that are on their wishlist.

Edit: Oh hey, a bunch more stuff. Admire how much BRBU plays TF2.

Edit 2: And most of you want Fallout: New Vegas.

Edit 3: It can also recommend games to you autom- wait. This can't be right.

Edit 4: And then there is this.

"Steam will soon have a screenshot feature! Valve has not made an announcement, but I have noticed a bunch of references in Steam files to a screenshot feature.

Here is the information I have found. I got it from reading the code in the Steam configuration files. (Disclaimer: Although I know how to read Steam config files, I may not have understood them 100% correctly).
- Pressing Shift+Insert will take a screenshot.
- The hotkey can be changed, but Shift+Insert is the default.
- The hotkey will be shown on the Steam Overlay.
- A screenshot section will be on the "Game Details" page (like "Achievements", "News", etc). It will show recent screenshots, and there will be a button to "View All Screenshots".
- A notification will pop-up about screenshots. I don't know what the notification is for, but it has something to do with Friends, so I am guessing you will be able to share screenshots with friends.
- A sound (like a camera taking a photo) will probably play when you take screenshots. You can find it here: "Steam/resource/camera1.wav". (You might need to be in the Steam Beta)"

Something that is basically a game that came out two years ago that didn't exactly hold my interest for a serious length of time with a few tweaks, probably isn't going to interest me for a serious length of time again

The same thing can be said for Fallout 2 in relation to Fallout 1, and it's one of the greatest games ever made.

Also a bunch of gameplay footage is up.
@odin basically. or like, kotor1/2

Edit: Oh, and apparently Steam surpassed 30 million active accounts today. Golf claps for Steam.
Fallout: New Vegas was released, and is apparently fairly buggy.

I'll soon find out, since I had to wait to play my physical copy of the game, cause it's connected to Steam and it wouldn't let me play till the digital distribution time came about, which was 3am for East Coast players.

In other news, boats still float on water unless unless water leaks in. More on this at 11.
KotOR kicked ass. I know what I'm installing again when I get home for another playthrough.

Lol totally. Like who didn't predict this.

The funny part is that it's running on the same exact thing running a 2-3 year old game (which is running on a 4-5 year old engine) and they are still having problems.

The day bethesda stops using broken ass gamebryo will be a good day. And maybe then they could actually learn how to properly animate characters on a screen too while they are at it

But they spent so much time and money making an awesome engine that renders foliage really really well!

They dont need to spend money on character animations or writing for that matter

All things considered, Gamebryo is a pretty all around shitty engine. Good thing Bethesda will have access to id Tech 5.
