What think?

At first I was sort of interested upon seeing "Cyberpunk" in some 80s future-retro Daft Punk-ish font, but then I watched the trailer.

*Yawn*

Trailer of reveals a few things: The game will have androids and lots of guns that shoot bullets at things. The setting will be in a soulless, super glossy dystopian city straight out of the IMAX 3D Blade Runner remake. The music will likely not be anything particularly unique and probably will have little or nothing to do with the words "cyberpunk" or with anything that could make people have an opinion on it. You will get to play as a Blade Runner/ Ghost in the Shell super-soldier who shoots guns and has some special future-abilities and is also probably secretly an android or something like that. I am guessing that the storyline will exist primarily to give you an excuse to shoot more things.

If the game is anything like the vibe I get from the trailer, it's going to be generic and style-less, with anything interesting about it being ripped straight from other sources.

I never asked for this.

Sad

"ripped straight from other sources."

You know it's based on the Cyberpunk 2020 universe, so it has an established background to draw from?  Gameplay is also based on that system so the odds of it being a shooter are slightly less than zero.

There's also some story included with the teaser:
Quote:The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member.

The Psycho Squad specializes in combating "psychos" -- individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body.

There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call "meatbags."

When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There's carnage, and the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they're not always able to get the job done.

When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the Psycho Squad.

So at least you're kinda right on being an android.
TIL Cyberpunk 2013 was the first game in that series.

The goggles make me think of dr0ne.
Except the thing is, it's probably going to be nothing like the trailer. CDProjekt has already confirmed its going to be an open-world RPG. You're also ignoring the fact that CDProjekt is wonderful at adapting things. The Witcher is one of Poland's prized works, so much so the Polish prime minister gave a collector's edition of The Witcher 2 to President Obama.

The team for Cyberpunk 2077 also hasn't even been completed, and the game hasn't entered actual development yet. Lots can change and the game is currently scheduled for sometime in 2015, possibly even later than that.

My what think was solely based on viewing the trailer with no prior knowledge of the project.
Not sure if anyone still cares, but the PC version of Street Fighter X Tekken is finally getting the DLC next Wednesday. Most importantly, that DLC includes 12 new characters (Guy, Cody, Sakura, Blanka, Dudley, Elena; Lars, Alissa, Bryan, Jack-X, Lei, Christie).

For the next two weeks, the DLC characters will be $5.00 (instead of $20), so you should probably get them now even if you're waiting for the Ver. 2013 balance patch to get to PC. If you want to try the new characters out, the files are already in the game, and it's actually really easy to unlock them for offline use. Just go to steamapps\common\Street Fighter X Tekken\resource\CMN\boot\game and replace "const.lua" with this file. Make sure to back up the original. You probably shouldn't login to GFWL when using it just in case.
It's Uncharted Raider. So yes, it's good, but it's also not like any of the other Tomb Raider games.

My roommate says it's "fucking amazing". Was watching the first hour of hour of it and based off that, I have to agree. Hair physics will mess your fps up something fierce though.
just watch the death clip compilation instead
