And it isn't even the one with enhanced assets that's coming to the PS3 ):
So, Crytek finally got around to showing a couple screens of the PC version of Crysis 2 after exclusively showing what the gosh darn 360 can do. So, let's see how it loo- OH MY GOODNESS.

60 bucks for another glorified benchmark program

Crysis 1 was the best FPS of 2007 that didn't come in an orange box as long as you had the nads to play on Delta difficulty and not use cloak the whole game.  8)

It sort of went off the rails a bit at the end, you can't dispute that.

I did play on delta difficulty, and I'm proud to say i used cloak 98% of the time. the other 2 percentile was shooting and laying on the ground.
I'm just glad someone is still prepared to make a balls to the wall engine that simply will not run on consoles.

Engines have been stagnating as of late as companies try to tailor them to run on the constrained hardware of the PS3/360 while PC Graphics cards had already passed both up in power before the machines even hit the shelves.

you do know crysis 2 is coming out on 360 and ps3 right ?

Cevat Yerli (Founder, CEO & President of Crytek.):

“We are suffering currently from the huge piracy that is encompassing Crysis. We seem to lead the charts in piracy by a large margin, a chart leading that is not desirable. I believe that’s the core problem of PC Gaming, piracy. To the degree PC Gamers that pirate games inherently destroy the platform. Similar games on consoles sell factors of 4-5 more. It was a big lesson for us and I believe we wont have PC exclusives as we did with Crysis in future. We are going to support PC, but not exclusive anymore.”
Well STALKER came out in 2007, which was infinitely more entertaining than Crysis, even if Crysis had a pretty engine, which does not always make for a fun game lol

Also, yeah, Crysis 1 does become more standard linear FPS fare in the later portions, it just bugs me how many people get so hung up on how good the game looks that they automatically assume the game itself is nothing, despite a very free and open beginning half. The worst part is when 90 percent of those people say that and then buy BLOPS day 1.

Edit: Oh, yeah STALKER was also better. But the point remains that Crysis isn't shit. In fact, it goes miles ahead of most other FPS games in terms of game play and design.

Really? It's probably the best performing of the three games released at least it was for me.

I wouldn't say it was particularly revolutionary or astounding, but I enjoyed it. Though the ending was almost as bad as Halo 2's.

Hey what's that speck over there, is that a boat? OHGOFUGHF OW OW OW OW

I dunno, but most of the singleplayer degenerated into SPEEDRUN invisible in some bushes SPEEDRUN invisible in some bushes. I was also very disappointed at how quickly I was forced to ditch my awesome sexy SCAR since ammo was scarce. And I don't even remember the ending; I know you were on some boat. Or something.

On an aircraft carrior when the mothership attacks, cut to painful cliffhanger.

Though, I personally loved crysis. I mean, even though the AI on delta is still laughable, you feel freakin awesome messing with the AI.

Sneak up to enemy encampment, throw grenade on other side, sneak in while other investigate, plant some det-charges, get to safe distance and wait for others to return...

Turn other direction, take three steps, hit trigger, continue walking don't look back.
My biggest problem with Crysis was that none of the suit abilities lasted longer than ten seconds.  If 2 actually lets me use powers I might even buy it.
