battle la was like saving private ryan with really bad characters and aliens

i literally had to make up names for people because i didn't know what their names were

but it is good if you like watching your favorite character die almost instantly then spending the next 20 minutes watching some fuck die for 20 minutes
Saw Adjustment Bureau. It was a movie that in the right hands could have been one of the years best. It was still good, just got bogged down by a lot of poor choices as far as storytelling goes.
District 9 is really good and i feel bad for not watching in in the theatre

I really enjoyed it.  The 'fookin prans' looked great.  Wonderful CGI.  Did you notice the big mech suit pick up a pig and launch it like the gravity gun from Half Life?

Heck Yeah!  The part where it just sucked up the bullets before spraying them all back was awesome too

And this was a "low budget" film in comparison to other movies, which makes it even better.

[/quote]This was a fantastic movie, but the live action shorts for the Halo movie that Neil Blomkamp were amazing.
Rango was awesome. As a kids movie, it fails on nearly every front. It's weird, there are many character deaths (not all bit-parts either), there's swearing, there's adult humor, and it's not afraid to take chances. All of which makes it a great western. Another thing: the movie is GORGEOUS. Every single scene looks incredible! The animation is incredibly fluent and the voice work by the cast is great. The choice of music is a mix between Ennio Morricone and Classical Orchestrations, in other words, amazing.

I love this movie.

Seconded this. I had to just give nicknames for all the surviving members because I forgot their names the second they left screen the first time. We had "Tits," "Harvey Dent," "Resentful black dude," "Foreign doctor," and "Ellis."
Just watched It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Pretty good, great actors all over the place, and that great payoff in the end!
I'm watching Taken right now, I'm loving the first half hour, so far so amazing.
Liam Neeson:
"So you touched my daughter?"
1 week later
"Everyone you know and held dear is now dead, and guess what..." *bursts door down*

Liam is a badass :v
