I've began watching AFI's top 100... Citizen Kane was last night. I know that I'm not going to overly enjoy quite a few of these haha, I'm far too uneducated to understand wtf is going on half the time Sad

Kane was at least enjoyable for most of it - little slow in parts and seemingly 0 plot; yet, still able to connect to most of the characters
AFI's top 100 is nice...but a bit short-ranged.

As of right now, I've seen 70 of the movies on this list.

1001 is way too many to aim for at this point... I'll stick to 100 for now Smile
that said 2 was godfather which ive seen quite a few times and most recently like 2 months ago, so I skipped it.  3 was Casablanca - really good flick.  never remotely boring
Nosferatu (1922) stands up much better than Dracula (1931) does as a horror movie. It was pretty drawn out though, and I didn't like the copy of the film I got with color-tinted visuals and an awful synthesized music score.
continuing on AFI's list - watched #4 Raging Bull two nights ago: bit too long... it was really good in parts, but I thought lots of scenes dragged... and then it just ended...

then I watched #5 Singing in the Rain - holy crap what a good movie... pissed I'd never seen it.  If you're remotely into singing and dancing (the tap dancing in this is insane) and haven't seen it, DO.  I laughed so hard through a good part of it.
Are there any Danny Kaye movies on that list?
so who is going to go see Iron Man 2?

Apocalypto was greatly enjoyable. Hard to believe a guy like Mel Gibson directed it.
Just finished watching Precious and all I can say is WOW. That film was brutal
Watching Outlander with Sean Connery. It is actually a pretty good movie.

Outlander was okay. Good popcorn flick
Saw Kick Ass last night - I quite enjoyed it... it was also nice to be the only 2 people in the theatre, so we could just talk loudly and yell at the screen.
It was better than I expected though
FINALLY finished Seven Samurai. Holy balls that movie was long. It's was great, but only watch it if you have 3 and a half hours to spare.
