I loved the TinTin cartoons when I was little, looking forward to it.

(which you might not like if you're a TinTin fan from what I've heard, I'd never seen it).

original tintin is a french comic book aimed at young children.

Exactly.
I see MIB cubed, not three.

I need to see a movie in theaters... it's been awhile.

I didn't give a shit at first, but when I heard Brad Bird was directing it I started to give a little shit. I'm interested to hear if it's any good.

[/quote]I liked it a lot. Tom Cruise is really good, Simon Pegg is solid, Jeremy Renner was really fucking good. Story is cool, and there are some really good stunts and the cinematography is great. There's a scene that gave me complete vertigo, especially since I was watching it in IMAX.
Seeing a midnight showing of sherlock Holmes 2, will report.

Seen and judged:

Actually thought it was a little worse than the first one. Way too much filler combined with a convoluted plot that moved way too fast. Yeah, that's a way to put it. Everything about it was way too fast: editing, action, plot, character development, etc. My problems I had with the first movie are carried over. SPM really enjoyed the first one and seemed pretty disappointed about it.

I got in for free, so I can't really complain about it, but I would not recommend seeing it in theaters.

welp that settles it, i'm going to go to this movie with this girl i'm talking with.
because karth thinks it's not that bad we'll probably end up enjoying it and not making out the whole time.
With MIB3 on the horizon, I went and rewatched the first two Men in Black movies.  Still some good entertainment and has me interested in the new one alittle more.  Didn't know it was originally a comic book.
