Star Wars Episode VII: The Return Revenge of the Hopeful Menace Strikes Back Spoilers

Luke kills dumbledore. The ship sinks.
Looking forward to the big movie release of the decade: Alvin and the Chipmunks
i'm just glad that spoilers don't fuck up my life like they do for some other people man.
I can't believe Bruce Willis was a ghost the whole time!

Though honestly I will not provide spoilers it was too awesome to spoil.

I will say that they did the original trilogy justice.

And my review is up. Overall breddy gewd.
I watched Krampus.

No, I'm not kidding.

It's an 80s "horror" movie played completely straight and I enjoyed it.
I'm going to try to make this review of Star Wars as spoiler free as possible. I'll still hide it behind spoiler tags, but I don't think it ruins anything.
I thought it was mostly good and showed tremendous respect for the original trilogy. However, I think it would have been a lot better if they cut out one of the major plot lines and expanded on everything else.
bingo

it was nice to have jj still recognize the old farts in the crowd and be like "yeah all the people you grew up with, grew up with you too" but you could tell there was a direction they want to go with the whole thing and they missed out on some small pointers that would have made it better as a movie.

overall, it was nice to be a kid again

To follow up and this is a big spoiler
The deather star plot was completely unnecessary and I thought everything to do with it just came off as silly and pace breaking.
Yes
i was hoping that whole thing would last the first two movies or something, but i always had a sense that it was going to just be a repeat of IV. i mean, like the thing is a fucking PLANET, and we only got to saw like, what, 3 or 4 places of it? my personal hope was that each firing of the weapon would mean having to go to another star to power it up and stuff.

also that whole space battle was like, 10-15 xwings? in a battle against an entire fucking planet? i was really hoping for something bigger i guess, but they threw that out the window when they were going to just do the whole thing in the spirit of IV
Theories
What theory are you guys buying into in regards to Rey's parents?
1. It's Luke and for some reason he abandoned her
2. Han and Leia have a second kid and they didn't mention it yet
---2a. Rey was hidden away cause Kylo would have killed her
3. She's the lovechild of Jar jar and Ackbar

Why was she waiting around Jakku?
Who did she think was coming to pick her up?

She's the jedi that went nuts as a child
I have a very sneaky suspicion that
One of the two new jedi will actually bring balance to the force by controlling both the light and dark side within them and be the most powerful badass jedi of them all. Then it will be revealed this was all a chain of events begun by Anakin.
The spoilers are coming!
I'd be pretty disappointed if that happened, since that's sort of what they did with Revan across the KOTOR games.  At least, if my memory and understanding of them is correct.

"We built a bigger death star!" was pretty lame.  I also felt like a lot of the movie was fan service instead of adding new content.  Particularly after they nixed the expanded universe.

I was really disappointed with Rey seeming to intuit how to use the force.  I was disappointed that Kylo, as one of the few existing force-trained people in the universe, wasn't able to handily beat somebody who had only been exposed to a lightsaber around three days ago.  Sure, Rey had all her staff experience, but it's (theoretically) a fairly different experience.
