For a second there I forgot this was the movie thread and I was about to shit a brick, screaming "BUT ITS BEEN IN THE SKY ALL THIS TIME".

...

Time for bed.
My awesome review of movies that I watched in the past week for the first time:

Oldboy is jawesome. A Clockwork Orange is awesome but I don't know how I should feel. the Girlfriend Experience is boring, second viewing was much more awesome than the first for some reason. Man on Wire is very good not awesome though.
Alice In Wonderland Official Teaser Trailer (HD) 720p

Not sure if I should be excited considering that most of his movies after Sleepy Hallow sucked.
Cube series was mildly interesting, probably not worth watching all 3 movies in a single night (they all have the same plot Sad )

Has anyone read the Road, because there is a movie coming out Big Grin Like one of my favorite books ever
THE ROAD trailer
I watched the trailer and it looked kinda meh. then i saw it was from the same guy that wrote No Country For Old Men and now i cant wait.

I think that trailer is a huge misrepresentation of the actual story. The book is actually really slow and atmospheric, and I think the movie will follow that pretty well. The people who made the trailer obviously feel that people just want guns and explosions, so they only used footage from the few short action-y parts and added some tense music over it.

Yeah, I watched the trailer and was like wtf?  Great book though, even if it makes you feel like you just got punched in the gut after reading it.

Yes! I am going to see this movie so much. I just read the book last year (extra credit reading assignment for AP English, always good to take advantage of), and was sad when the movie got delayed from a November release, but it looks great.
Finished up The Shawshank Redemption last night. Easily one of the best films I've ever seen.

This movie looks a lot better than I thought it would.
Funny People is definitely worth seeing. It's a pretty funny movie, especially if you're smart enough to catch on to some of the jokes that go above what most people would think are funny. I was laughing at times the rest of the theater was silent.

That must've been awkward.

This meaning the movie will do poorly.

Not really, I mean the theater was laughing at most of the jokes, so it's not like they were all lost on them, just some of them required a level of knowledge that exceeds most of the general population in movie theaters... at least ones at malls.

I heard 75 percent of the movie required knowledge of dicks.

This is a good thing.
