In Bruges. Fucking amazingly, awesomely, indescribably good.

The Belgian paedophile joke was ace. In fact, that whole restaurant scene was fucking class. Wasn't keen on Ralph Fiennes' character, pretty played out now.

Loved the hell out of that movie. Especially the belltower scene... shocking, disgusting, and utterly marvelous.

And I've wanted to see Persepolis for a while...

Going to see Coraline in 3D on the sixth or thereabouts. Do it. Doooo iittttt.

I'm excited about Coraline. Also Persepolis is on watch now.
Yeah, Coraline looks cool.

Also, this isn't strictly relevant to this thread, but The Middleman is being released on dvd this summer. ;D
Persopolis is fantastic. Everyone should watch that movie.

I agree about it being sad though.

What's more sad is that somehow none of that ever comes up in a high school history class.

It's directed by Tim Burton, so you'd might as well do some cocaine while your there.
It's not directed by Tim Burton. Neither was Nightmare Before Christmas.
I've actually never read Coraline but I love Gaiman's other books. He's cute too.

Really? Huh. That's what I've always assumed.

Edit: Just checked IMDB. No relations what-so-ever to coraline. I coulda sworn that he was involved somehow...

I'm pretty sure some advertising implies his involvement. I swear I saw his name in a trailer once.

Some of the ads say "From the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas," which most people think is Tim Burton. He was going to direct it, but he was busy with directing Batman Returns.
That's right, Henry Selick directed "The Nightmare Before Christmas", then moved to do "James and the Giant Peach" and then "Monkeybone".

Tim Burton wrote "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and Burton's favorite composer; Danny Elfman sung the parts for Jack Skellington (while someone else did the dialog).

Whats crazy is if you know the background story, it's basically an autobiography done as a graphic novel. Obviously some things were made more dramatic and funny for the medium but its basically a true story. Plus if you look at the credits, Marjane had a huge hand in the movie too. I bet she did a lot of the art.
Rewatched Big Trouble in Little China. Soooo great.

Me and Wedge were watching that last night, actually.
I saw The Nines last night. Pretty interesting movie. Entertaining if not mind blowing.

Also the big payoff is pretty dissappointing at first but then kinda grows on you.
