A lot of people (AKA most of the entire country) expect the police to take advantage of this to arrest legal immigrants because the police are corrupt racists.
i just dont get it. i like mexicans as a construction worker they tend to do a good job. we get their hardest working people etc coming over here i appreciate that. they just need to learn what their work is worth.
if i wandered past like 4 no trespassing signs and then complained to you guys that i got arrested i wouldnt expect a terrible positive response. so if i get smuggled into a country that its very obvious im not supposed to be in and then the big bad police man arrests me do i really have a right to complain? i think youre issue is with the enforcement and the way it could be done rather than the law but hey theyre looking for MEXICANS why would they not ask a MEXICAN is he possibly illegal? if your criminal is a 8 foot tall blue man im guessing any 8 foot tall blue men would likely get targeted thats kinda how things work like it or not. if youre here legally then youre good to go if youre not then oh no you got caught deal with it nerd

It's not the illegals people are pissed about it is the legal immigrants. I don't know if I have this right but anyone suspected of a crime can also be asked for their papers. And people should have proof of immigration or citizenship on them at all times because of this. But the big catch here is that they also made being an illegal immigrant a state crime. So if I'm using my logic I'd say that well if you look foreign then you could be an illegal which is a crime so I suspect you of committing a crime so now I can stop you and ask you for proof that you aren't illegal.
So for instance, my wife is spanish. If we go to Arizona I'd expect at some point a cop to come over and ask her for her driver's license. And if she doesn't have it on her then it could be a hassle. Now you could say that it's just an inconvenience but for one it is kind of insulting and for two if it becomes common practice then all foreign looking people will have to get used to randomly getting stopped by various police and showing their proof of legal status as part of normal everyday life. It all depends on how they actually put it into practice, but even if 95% of the police are nice about it you will get that one town who's sheriff hates spanish people and now they can legally harass spanish people.
And when they are looking for criminals they usually have a more specific description than just Spanish. I mean if you had a nazi terrorist group in your area and they suddenly started stopping you for having your head shaved every time you left the house and questioning you you could just grow out your hair and be done with it. Spanish people can't stop looking spanish.
Also I just put down my seat deposit for UF.

is it really that hard to stick a green card in your wallet? as far as i know the cops were even against the law because they have better things to do so its not like the majority of them are looking to question everyone. it should take 2 minutes to show them a license and your green card and youre good to go. everyone whines about the government just allowing them to come in without doing anything but one state with a major problem does something and everyone whines about that
i just see it as being supported by small government people when it's basically a nazi show me your pepers? law, come on, if you want small gov'men' concerning taxes, you get small gov'ment concerning mexicans
Well the thing is it doesn't really help, all the illegals are just going to move into another state and it's going to scare away lots of legals and other people. It would be better to lock down the border and stop them from getting in in the first place.
And I'm sure no one in this thread has ever forgotten their driver's license or current insurance card at home and yet still drove.
tim doesn't have a license, he would get deported except nobody else wants him
I never drive with my license. I mean I literally forget it about 80% of the time.
alright guys i recently ran into some cash so im deciding between
this so i can tape water polo stuff and/or adventures, or assorted things i dont need like clothes, video games, and military shovels.
what do you think?
