I love the fact how they both remain calm like nothing happened.    No screams or ARGGGGGGGGH.

"And now we find ourselves in a river."
"Yes."
"This turn of events is not entirely satisfactory."

My schedule next semester is weird
[Image: vGEn92H.png]

My entire 17 credit hours are compacted in between 1:30 and 9:00 PM, monday through thursday.  All of these classes had only one time and day available, so this is just how it happened.  And notice I still get a 3 hour break in the middle of every day.  Not sure if want...

that break is really going to blow if you don't use it to eat/stay on top of homework/study
Managed to find it in motion

Maybe its just because I'm well out of my college days... That schedule looks awesome.

The article hinted around, but didn't fully articulate this aspect of context: That most living Americans still feel so guilty at how shitty the country treated our Vietnam veterans that we can only superficially interact with the vets from Afghanistan and Iraq. In a struggle to not repeat the sins of redeployment from Vietnam, we, as a culture, don't precisely know what to do with the newest round of volunteers.

Well the current consensus seems to be "buy them dinner."

I remember when that RhinoDen article was posted, I couldn't finish it.  That dude's a giant asshole- he's exactly the type of veteran I don't want to be around "I volunteered to do something "hard" now you had better fucking worship me because you didn't" type of guy.  I take solace in the fact that it seems to be a minority of new vets that are giant dicks concerning their raging sense of entitlement/ability/accomplishment.  I'm glad the biggest accomplishments of my life are still infront of me, lined up to be tackled.  I'd hate to think I was already done with the most important thing I would ever do, and wasn't even 30 yet.  -And I had struggled with that issue in the past; you get back and it's like, "was that it?  am I coasting to the finish now?"  I guess not everyone gets the same answer to that question.  If you've made the choice that you're not going to do anything more important with your life than what you've already done; life's just one big victory lap then and why not demand some recognition during it?  But, when I put it that way, I have a little better understanding their motivation for being that way.  And it's kinda sad.

Honestly with all the transitions we go through in modern times (HS->College->Career->Other Career?) it's nice to know there is a place you can go to play games with people that aren't complete assholes. Also to bullshit on the forums. <3 you guys.
