my cat was being extra affectionate.  as a result, I had to lint roller my face.
Bike just ticked over 14.5k miles on the odometer. Almost a half a mile after that happened I blasted a deer in the middle of the city. Someone was driving in the opposite lane towards me with his high-beams on right before it happened and I didn't even see the deer. Didn't realize I had hit anything until I heard the thump. Deer busted my front fender. Not really a big deal. I was kinda hoping that I would have killed it so I could haul it home on the passenger seat on my bike to get me some deer meat.
And I assume this post wasn't made by the ghost of zaneyard...  So tell me, how slow does one actually have to be going to plow into a deer on the road with a motorcycle and it not be a big deal?

I was cruising maybe 25-30, I had just turned through an intersection downtown and the bike was cold so I wasn't going to open up the throttle very far.
I really have no clue where I hit it. I can only assume the leg or something because I didn't really feel it in my handlebars but I heard the thump. Looked behind me quick and saw a deer standing next to my fender. I can only assume that I clipped its leg.
well at least this didn't happen to you zane

oh I didn't read the description.

Anyways, he's on a dirtbike. You could drop it off the roof of your house and it would still be fine.

brb, making thread

To answer your question: I carry a HK USP Compact in .40 S&W. I also keep a S&W 1076 in my car's glove box for days where I can't carry.

I bought a chocolate chip cookie today. It had only 3 chocolate chips in it. I don't think I can get a refund from the place after I've already taken a bite out of it.

I don't think they'll have a problem with it as long as you bring it in as evidence. It's not like all the chips were hidden away in that one bite. Having less chocolate than you initially imagined in anything is one of the greatest tragedies a person can face when dealing with cookies, perhaps second only to mistaking an oatmeal raisin cookie for a chocolate chip one.

Speaking of customer service, I recently asked about a store's refund policy and warranty on some rimless sunglasses that are beginning to crack where the nose bridge was attached. The sales rep didn't even say anything about purchase date or receipts and just said to bring them in for replacement.

I know I'm probably alone in this but I like a low cookie to chocolate chip chocolate chip to cookie ratio. I like chocolate but it can easily get overwhelming in a cookie. Especially since most places load up on the damn things. I'm kind of sensitive to sweet though.
I think you have that backwards, Surf.

Speaking of warranties.  The best one I've ever encountered... I shit you not... Lands End clothing.  Their warranty is simply "Guaranteed."  I had a long wool winter coat.  I had been wearing it for about 3 months already this winter when I pulled one of the snaps through the fabric when opening the pocket.  Now, I wore this coat all the damn time.  And you could easily, and possibly correctly, make the argument that this was normal wear and tear taking it's toll on it.  I called the Lands End desk at the Sears I bought the thing from and they were having none of that, "Something went wrong with it?  Bring it in.  I think we've got one left in the back."  So yeah, traded it in 1 for 1 no questions asked.  And it's not like it was a cheaply made coat, it's a really freaking nice coat- a handsome garment, a fine vestment, regal as fuck.

They also make pretty awesome wrinkle free shirts.

They'll also give you partial credit if you send in coats that don't fit any more. My mom used to buy all of our coats from them as kids, sent them in every couple years and paid a little to get new ones.
