Google loc data from my phone this month, dat coast to coast swing
So I had a dream last night and this is the first dream that A. I've had that I'm in the same physical location I was when I went to sleep, and B. I vividly remember now even after going back to sleep.
So I crash last night and fall asleep. Sometime between then and when I actually woke up I started dreaming that I was trying to sleep in bed. Except my room was a little different. I had a mounted deer head on my wall right in front of the top of my bed. This deer head was somehow alive. This deer head laid down on my pillows several times while I was freaking out. I'm assuming this deer head was not alive prior to this, based on how terrified I was. This deer head also bit my finger and it didn't feel good. At one point in time this deer head crawled out of the wall that it was mounted on, transformed from a full deer, to a freakishly tall girl with like a normal body size but 6 foot tall legs. During this whole thing I was freaking out and couldn't move at all. Then I woke up.

Waking dreams are fun, huh?

Yeah that's sleep paralysis. Not particularly enjoyable. I do reality checks to try and wake up when I'm having an unpleasant dream, but sometimes I get launched into one of those instead of actually waking up in full reality. Which means another round of reality checks, just with increased difficulty. I find that focusing on my breathing and moving my fingers jump starts actually waking up and tends to help block out the fucky weirdness and ends the episode before it gets too bad. One odd observation is that I almost always feel intense tingling in my limbs before being able to move and exit the dream state.

Thing is, you could turn this into lucid dreaming due to becoming consciously aware of the fact that you're dreaming. It can be... interesting. A friend of mine told me he once had one where he decided he could see people through walls... but not through the walls themselves...
Has anyone had any experience with fan edits before? I'm curious if there is one of Southland Tales and if not I would be interested in making one. The movie needs like an hour cut out of it, which I think is pretty easy to do. Once that happens it could be a pretty amazing movie.
I finally started watching Breaking Bad.
It's an awesome series to marathon.

Funny that, so did Lauren and I
Hey all, long time, no speak. I apologize for my absence for the past months. I needed to rediscover myself and understand the world more. I learned a lot during that time, most of it private; some I have accepted/need to accept, some I have embraced/need to embrace. There is still much I need to learn and experience before I can be content with my life. Fortunately, I'm following through with plans to help me get to where I want to be.
I am currently in the process for my bachelor's in chemical engineering and have a definite time frame and cost set for it, something I didn't have before. Ideally, I will have three years left starting next week, including summer classes. It's going be rough with a 32 hour work week, but I should manage.
So, how's everyone doing?
I start a new job tomorrow

So things have been pretty slow at work, so I've been working on a proprietary framework for automated application testing for things like exercising our REST apis, making sure loader scripts are running properly at the time they're supposed to be running, that sort of thing. It's been pretty interesting and a nice exercise to flex my bash scripting skills, but the actual work to be done on the framework is starting to run out, which means soon all that will be left is actually fleshing and writing all the test scripts, which is pretty boring comparatively. :-\
