The lulz thread had a head start. This here longest thread was only created after peoples got their panties in a bunch about random stuff appearing in a other threads.

So...Movie popcorn with BBQ sauce on it is good. You should all try it. Unless you hate the tasty.

I have yet to try this with Home popped, but will try it soon enough.

at this point I think a couple of the other major threads outpace the lulz thread (fml and made-my-day at the very least). one day they'll catch up. one day

Someone make a function to derive, at the current rate of posts per day, how many days it will take for a thread to overtake the lulz thread.

[current # posts] + [current # posts / # days since start date]*[x days] = estimated post count at day x for any thread.

If you want to find the day when one thread will surpass the other, all you need to do is make an equation for each thread and find the x intercept. Of course, the equations will vary every day.

You need to account statistically for variations between posting rates of the threads on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and not just linear averages...
