Hell yeah. Love Shadowrun almost as much as I love Call of Cthulhu campaigns. Warhammer 40k is pretty damn slick too.

I'm participating in my first campaign of Call of Cthulu.  3 session in.  It's awesome.
Does anyone know how to make a picture on the left and text to the right with a box around it that runs across the width of a page? Also maybe have that box be colored red or something. I'm trying to make some templates and I don't have enough knowledge to figure them out and the parts I copied don't work correctly.

Context?

Word? HTML? Cardboard and crayons?

Context is mediawiki, I have the parser functions extension installed. I have a strong feeling though that there is another extension I need and that is what is breaking them.

Hell yeah brother. Good luck, almost every campaign I've been in involved me dying or going crazy. Sometimes both.
If anyone wants to help, I got everything figured out except why I don't get a box
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Ambox

That is what I want to use, I get everything but the box and the centering. I'd also like the pretty colored bar on the left but I won't complain if I can't have it.
bumping this to bring the book discussion out of the "made my day" thread.

Currently reading Cryptonomicon.
Freaking amazing book.

I've read two Halo books: The Fall of Reach and The Floor.  I didn't really like the second one, but the first one was written by a different (and better) author, I just never got around to reading the next book of the trilogy, written by the same as the first book (Fall of Reach).

Also, I've read a ton of Orson Scott Card.

For school I'm reading The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien.  A "true" fiction story about Vietnam.  Really good book, but the BS we have to do for english class ruins it.
I see no 'No Shaving for November' thread. What is this silliness.

we do have a thread titled "Books motherfuckers, do you read them?"
So I interviewed with a research prof in the Chemistry department on Monday for a programming position.  As far as I understood I'd be doing work with MatLab to help make the data analysis for a experiment he's running easier, due to the two guys he has running the experiment at the moment knowing nothing about coding.  I'm still not 100% what he wants, seeing as I don't really know how to do MatLab myself.  Also further down the road he needs some graphical simulations in order to demonstrate what is going on to help with education in classroom (it's stipulation of the grant he recieved).

The point of that is that I got an email today saying I got the job.  Of course today I also received a call for an on campus IT position I had applied for at around the same time wanting to schedule an interview for Monday.  I went ahead and said yes, considering the job is about ten hours more and pays like 6 dollars an hour more.  Still, I'm not really sure which job I should go for.  The one I'm pretty much already hired for falls a lot closer to my major (CS) than the IT position.  But the IT position pays more and I feel I'd way more competent there than in the Chem department.

I'm leaning towards the Chem position (already hired plus practical xp) but I just thought I'd see what your guys' thoughts were.
I'd go for the Chem job. It'll look more interesting on a resume.

So i kinda got grounded from computer except weekends, anyway on thursday we had the random dog locker drug search and some kid got in trouble but wouldn't go to the office so they brought the police. Basically the entire cafeteria heard "get down!" and then a thunk. I was luckily near the door and watched the whole thing. Some junior wouldn't go down so the police fucking tazered him.

The whole thing was pretty awesome
you kidding me?
they tazered a fucking kid
wow
fucking shitty cops imo
