unless there's a severance bonus
So, placed an order for new computer parts on Sunday, but the order got voided yesterday because newegg said what I entered for my billing information and what my card says didn't match. Replaced it tonight and ended up finding a harddrive of similar size and performance for about 30 bucks cheaper. Also found out the bank has me on record as being born a year earlier than I actually was. Here's hoping this order doesn't get fucked again.

Show off your parts list in the computer section.

actually the exact opposite is true, there's a 5k bonus for being with the project start to finish. But yeah, I'm taking it, because it doesn't start for a month and if Company X calls between now and then, I'm not a contractor, so i can leave.Â

I'd say go for it, seems like they actually want you to stay for the duration of the project. At least you know what you're getting into. I was told they were going to keep me around for a year and all the sudden 4 months in "i'm not performing up to the metric" even though I'm a fast mother fucker.
The virology lecturer is motivating the class to complete the evaluation survey (75% completion minimum) by promising to bake everyone brownies for the final. There are at least 200 students in the class.
I played one round of tf2 today.
Reminded me why I don't play bad games anymore.
I felt like Taco Bell for dinner after a long work shift. I took the food home and then I got the shits 10 minutes before I even start eating my food. What the fuck Taco Bell. Can't you hold off your curse until after I enjoy myself? And then I ate my food and remembered why I don't eat Taco Bell more often.

did you try the dorito taco? I thought it was pretty tasty but the shell was too thin; it got flimsy faster so I'd recommend getting it if you'll eat it within 5 minutes otherwise it gets too soggy/flimsy.

D: Käse, i think you would love to talk to my girlfriend. She's studying Biotechnology Engineering, graduating next year and she's all into that stuff, talking about science-y stuff all day. She always talks some stuff about PCRs and other science workds my head can't metabolize.

If there is one thing that life science nerds like to do, it is to geek out enthusiastically with someone else. We usually don't discriminate and will talk about our interests with anyone who's willing to listen C:

I discriminate against anyone who works with organisms that you can see without a microscope
Not sure if this is "fuck my life" or "made my day", but the grad students from the biggest lab in our department want me to present at their group meeting. Found out about it this morning, and they want to do it this week...

I'd watch it. It would need to have Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams in it though.

I think this applies to everyone. Looking for someone to talk about how antitrust law should inform IP law.
