also, I wear flip flops a lot. It may or may not have to do with the fact that I grew up in the most liberal suburb on the planet built around a liberal arts college (swarthmore). If it were socially acceptable to be barefoot more places I would be, love a breeze across the feet.
So did I, until my heels started looking like this:
[/quote]Same, and then I discovered the OTHER primary use for hand lotion, and that problem went away.
I was wondering, what does being liberal have to do with being barefoot/wearing flipflops? :O
My PC has been randomly rebooting itself for the past few weeks, but it was always when I wasn't home, (and ironically according to the event log, they almost all took place while I was driving home from work and was only a few minutes away) and I could find no common cause to them. It never did it when I was here, using it or anything, so I just brushed it off as whatever.
Fast forward to last night when I was hoping my intertubes wouldn't be pinging 100 to Chicago and possessing 30% packetloss, when I fire up TF2 to join the seed effort. I get out of dustbowl's first blue spawn, fire 1 FAN shot at hoovy and have a really weird hard crash. My secondary screen is showing me an OOR error, stating the video card is trying to shove 280Hz at it, and my primary LCD is toggling on and off quite rapidly. Panic mode.
Hoping it was a random thing, and seeing as how TF2 just got like 3 patches, I assumed Valve was to blame and tried again, only this time I got the crash when the main menu in TF2 loaded up. Thinking something seems wonky here because of the 280Hz error message off my secondary screen, I'm thinking oh fuck my video card is getting ready to shit the bed. So I load up SC2, turn every video setting to max and load up a mission. I play for like 15 minutes and all is well, no crashes, so I mentally validate my blame Valve assumption, and close SC2 to play some Deus Ex.
Play Deus Ex for about 7 seconds, crash. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Launch 3DMark and turn off all GPU benchmarks, leave the two CPU benches on, and bench it. 100% load on 6 cores for a while, nice and stable. Turn off CPU benches and turn on a GPU benchmark, and blam, it crashes in about 4 seconds. So I'm thinking gg, now I don't have a video card. Then I notice a little while later that I'm missing three HDD's from my disk activity monitor sidebar gadget, which all happen to be plugged into the same PSU (I have dual PSU's on this computer) as my video card. - Lightbulb!
Pull secondary PSU out, replace with the PSU from my ShuttlePC, reorganize the cables because that little thing only has the juice to power my video card by itself with about 70 watts to spare, assuming the video card maxes out at about 130 watts, and re-run GPU benchmarks.
Runs all benchmarks and spits me back to dekstop. I also seem to have found my 3 lost drives.
Looks like I know what I'm getting next...

You missed a word.
Liberal Arts !=
Liberal (left-wing political beliefs)

not to reduce everything to stereotypes but your average(not all) liberal arts student is also liberal and dresses new-age hippy. flip flops, wool caps, messenger bags etc. (and yes, I wear all those things). Mine is a black laptop bag though, not one of those full on hippy brown cloth ones.
idk i think man feet are gross and men shouldn't wear flip flops. womens feet however...

Turned off the power to my HVAC to clean it and replace the filters.
Flip the bypass back on.... nothing.
Start taking it apart, trying to figure out why the primary blower isn't working...
Spent 30 minutes tracing it back, the light switch for the bypass stopped working when I switched it. How often does a light switch just stop working?

Ignoring the mechanical parts for the quick break system, they're literally two strips of metal with contacts that get pulled apart to break the circuit.

Well I'll be. +1
So myself and a ladyfriend that I've been seeing for most of the month decided to break it off.
Part of me is glad cause I'm pretty sure I've dodged a crazy bullet.
Part of me is sad because no more sexy times.

Not technically married.
I'm pretty sure that when we get married it's just going to get... better. >:3
any person that stops having sex when they get married is a terrible person.
