So i brought it up in a discussion last night with Luin and Karf, I wanna try the MMO Black Desert Online, i did a bit of research and its not F2P its $30 USD. I was just wondering who may be interested in playing it. Its a flat buy no subs, but it has micro transactions. If you buy you get a 7 day guest pass to have someone else try as well. Or if youre sure you'll love it theres a $50 dollar option as well.

Watched something about character making for this:

I'd be interested. I've always wanted to try an MMO but never wanted to go through the chore of being social with strangers.
If at least one person commits to buy Black Desert with me I'll get the deluxe edition and give one guest pass to Xineoph and the other to Luin. I looked up some videos, the combat looks fun. I'll probably play Ranger because I'm a pro-kiter.
Sounds good! If I like what I see on the pass I'll commit to buy
<3 Thanks Surf!
might as well go for it, ill get the normal edition and pass out the trial to someone as well. No rush here though surf. Dark Souls 3 is coming out and that will probably occupy me for a good chunk of time this week
I'd be willing to do a trial run
Oh wow, 32GB download...
Also, THANK YOU SURF! I just happen to have the next 2 days off, so some good time to create a character, get the feel, etc.
ill get this tomorrow and send you the key karf
Verdict so far; the character generation is truly ridiculous. In a fun way of course, but it's just silly.
Gameplay is pretty. Not really feeling that pull, though, we'll have to see how it goes playing together instead of just solo.
My thoughts so far are that customization is cool, combat is fun, there is a ton of shit to do that I need to figure out, but early game isn't super exciting yet.

Every time I read something like this or hear it from people I always go to the following:
"There is a prerequisite for fun"
I've been told that no Canadian teams have made the playoffs in the NHL

watching hockey is still good though
i've spent the last 4 of 6 hours watching hockey and life is pretty good after ignoring the absolute disaster that was the regular season for my team

So how do rivalries and nationalism generally play out?
I notice the Jets are the only "abooters" in their division, but when a Canadian team in the Atlantic or Pacific divisions makes it to the playoffs/finals, would their Canadian division rivals root for them or is the rivalry more deep seeded?
For instance, if the finals is Montreal VS St Louis, who does a Toronto fan root for generally?
living in northern california for the time being, life is good. so busy working that i haven't had time for gaming.
