I am suddenly reminded that I meant to buy a fancy dice cup for 10,000
You reminded me of playing 10,000 with my aunts family: bunch of bastards from the wrong side of Sherbrooke. It's like playing in a smokey backroom on a faded felt table, with side bets, thinly veiled threats, and a whole lot of fury when someone rolls a penta. It always feels like no one ever plays 10,000, until internetweb peoples remind you otherwise <3

It is probably my favourite game of all time. My dad has some kind of inhuman luck for rolling. There is a 50% chance no matter how many of us are playing that dad will win, and will win with all 1's. I must learn his secret.
EDIT: Dice cup, get!
Sorta like this one, but not as expensive and the leather's a bit thicker/darker.
Update on dice tray project; the "project boxes" at my local hobby lobby and joann's are really poor balsa wood.
I intend to ship two of these to friends/family, so while I can pack really carefully, I prefer something a little more sturdy. AND SO, I've purchased the pieces to build the box myself. Shouldn't be too hard, just some wood glue and small wood nails. I did realize that I did not purchase enough pieces to make the sides for all of them, but I'm making 6 in total.
So I have 5 materials I'm working with too.
Super 77 (to be used with the following 2)
Felt
Foam
Peel & Stick Options of
Felt
Foam
Now I my cousin wants straight foam on wood.
I know people who want straight felt on wood.
I'm also tempted to use Foam with felt on top (with either type), I'm just kind of curious the action of the dice on these different surfaces and how well it'll work.

I'm selling some of my cameras - my RX1, my OMD EM5 w/ lenses, and my Mamiya medium format film camera. If anyone is interested I am willing to go on the low end of the price range for a BRBUer. I'm using ebay completed sales or KEH for values. PM me if you are interested. At this point I want to unload them anywhere but ebay.
The forum upgrade explains why I stopped getting thread subscription notices.
