Started watching the original series of Star Trek today.
Seems pretty cool.
If you can forgive a few schmaltzy moments, series had some groundbreaking questions asked/concepts introduced.

Quite a few indeed. Like the first interracial kiss on television.

Just don't watch anything beyond TNG.....maybe a bit of DS9, but stop there. Voyager sucked, and Enterprise....well....we just don't talk about that.
I'd recommend the last 4 seasons of DS9, when they turned it into a war epic. Voyager.... I don't know Caff, it had its moments here and there, but it was guilty of many filler episodes. Enterprise just came in too soon after Voyager, and fucked with canon way too much.

The dominion wars kind of bugged me, it was like shit just exploding everywhere, like it was nothing, I thought starships at least in Trek were supposed to be more durable, it was pretty cool though.

I thought the character development through the whole story arc was brilliant. I am a sucker for character driven stories though :o

I liked Chiana a little more than Zhaan. Also, you get a good idea of how hot Gigi Edgley is when you see her
without makeup on.

what's wrong with sexy babes in a cocoon?
Farscape is awesome just because of the Toy Story reference.

Had a chunk of gum tissue covering a molar removed this morning.
Aside from the needles and pressure and poking and prodding and blood, it was pretty cool.
Why?
They used a laser to cut up the inside of my mouth. Hellz yeah.
But then it smelled like burning flesh. And that does NOT smell great.
I had some moles removed a few years back, they electrically cauterized the wounds. Same smell, yuck. Makes me wonder if we're wired to think that's a bad smell though, to protect us from cannibals and the like.

I don't suppose anyone has used one of these before? I'm contemplating a purchase.
No, but I've been having my eye on this

Also, I had the feeling today, aren't we due for hype for the next generation of console wars?

I used eraser mates in elementary school, i don't see why when sharpie comes out with one, it's such a big deal.Â
How long ago was the 360 released? I think you can expect longer and longer lifetimes of console generations... with the more expensive hardware, you've got to produce quite a number of them to cover your development costs and drive the production costs down.... and then why stop when you're finally making a shit ton of money of each unit?
Oh man, having to learn about handling strings and the like in C in a trial by fire programming assignment. Know some guys in the glass that are wizards with C, but still, not enjoying it too much.
Hey Totilla, my trainer told me I was going to be doing circuits soon.
