Hah, they have even installed new lines on major intersections that require cars to stop short on the right hand lane so they don't accidentally clip a bike if they want to turn right.

Also at0m, ride on the streets.  share the road. who cares if it's an interstate, you pussy :-)

No, as someone who spent a good deal of their time biking at university and driving a fuck-ton at home, the road should be the last place you bike. If there's a sidewalk and/or a bike lane/bike path get the fuck on that first.

On any road with a lot of traffic you are just asking for problems IMO

last time i checked it's illegal to have a non-motor vehicle on the interstate

also, we don't have bike lanes, so I use the sidewalks.

Here, it's legal...

But you have to manage to keep your speed over 60 km/h.

That's minimum speed on the interstate.

While we don't know exactly what's legal and what's not, we're given a minimum speed.
Just assume that if it can go that fast, you can ride it on the highway.

not exactly sure on what you mean here
but on our interstates, cars go 120-130 km/h
not putting my bike next to that

Obviously. But if you can meet the minimum speed, you can go ahead and not do it illegally.
Never said anything about being safe.
i'm not sure if we have a minimum speed
pretty sure there is a sign on the on ramps for interstates that says no non-motor vehicles

bottom line im not gonna ride a bicycle on the interstate
don't need to though to get to work anyway

Unless your province mandates that riding on sidewalks is illegal, and grants cyclists 1 meter from the curb on all city streets. Then you think helmets aren't for pussies.

I actually got pulled over by a cop when I was 13 for riding my bike on the sidewalk (in Ontario). Here, I was, with my new bike, helmet, shin guards on and was about to be given a ticket. I convinced the cop to come to my house to give me the ticket, and when my Dad caught wind of this guy, he got my neighbor (a cop who had a higher rank than the prick trying to give me a ticket) who then proceeded to scald this guy for being a giant douche. I'm pretty sure that guy quit the force after what my Neighbor called him.

I got a ticket for riding on the sidewalk in iowa city.  I rode half a block to go from the street to the bike rack.  The guy stopped his car right were he was, and gave me a ticket as i was locking my bike up.

I'm biking down there regardless, even if it's just me and a thousand disappointed fans it should be a good time.
