So I had a bad, bad cold today. So bad that I couldn't get out of bed without help. So I missed all my classes today. Scheduled a doctor's appointment for 4:40, and slept all day. Woke up at 3, showered, checked my school email- my limited-edition red Wii had come in. So I swung by to get that, and then went to the doctor. Upper sinus infection, no big deal, just use decongestants, given a note that will excuse my absences for the two classes that take attendance today (calculus and first year seminar). And I feel pretty excellent now.
Got a date to winter formal
Also the made my day thread is now 2 pages ahead of the fml thread

Honestly, community college is actually better than actual college, which in turn means that it is better than high school.
Seriously, I went through the community college system (De Anza) after I could not get the classes that I need in San Jose State, and was pulling a 3.2 when I entered this university. I am seriously on the game with almost all my classes except for Christianity (for being too off-topic with the essay assignments, but at least the instructor likes them).
I always tell my Judo students that high school sucks and those AP classes are nothing like college.

Stats is awesome. I slept through (and gamed through) the whole year of AP stats and got a 5 on the exam.
Also an A+ in the class.
Still a fun/awesome class.
My customer in Baltimore got screwed by a trainee quitting the _day_ his training ended. So they're desperately in need of someone with that training. I have that training, two years of experience, and familiarity with both their machines and how they do business. Hrm....
So I just had a brief interview with the manager of that department, who said I should be getting a call from someone in HR to work out an offer in a few days. It may not end up being worth moving, but who knows, it might. It'll definitely be less travel, and probably more pay, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
