Got my driving permit Tuesday. Got time to drive today. Driver's ed almost allows no time to drive except for weekends, by the time I'm home it's REALLY dark. Went to a local church lot since the nearest school had some kind of event. Did pretty well, didn't expect the steering wheel to be so sensitive. Screwed up parking once of three tries, nearly hit some signs. b) Forgot to use the turn signals a few times and my breaking sucks(my parents got a bit annoyed with me, lol.) Drove into the grass once and didn't even know it until I was told. Steering wheel wouldn't go back to its original orientation so finding out if I was going straight or not was fun. Parents would only let me drive til I had a car, which is a decent looking, sticker faced 91 Toyota Corolla since we only have a van. I know I'm gonna get asked what my age is, it's 17.
Seriously?
Man, I was an awesome driver compared to you.
I never went off the road, and only messed up parking when backing in.

Seriously? Man, I'm an awesome driver compared to you. I only hit a semi head on and only messed up parking when I was upside down and on fire.

Seriously? Man, I'm an awesome driver compared to you. I only ran over the guy carrying the nuclear football then sold it's contents to al-Qaeda, and only messed up parking my 1st time trying to back a semi into a garage around a corner with a 53' trailer attached.

This could be an awesome meme.

get to be driven to school instead of take the bus.

also made some egg muffin sammiches
Woke up at 8 and managed to convince half my bloc of flats to skip Uni so we can all go hang out in the park since the weather is nice for once.

Downside is, now I have to get dressed.
Got my laundry done for the week and broke in 3 pairs of new 501's. Actually woke up (at 9pm) without hitting the snooze bar, and did my exercises to get the blood flowing before my overnight shift.
1. Puts on Ol' Dirty Bastard-Shimmy Shimmy Ya
2. Girlfriend: "hey this is one of my favorite songs"
3. Day made.
The fucking pizzeria ran out of dough, halfway through the dinner-rush. It wasn't a matter of making not enough dough, it was a matter of too many people eating. Don't worry, story turns on it's ass.

I don't usually like any celebration of my birthday, I'm no one important, I don't think I need a pat on the back for making it through 20 years without dying, but, I don't know, It was nice after such a shit storm to have a little levity and one of the last cakes from the cake king around these parts, Mr. Zeber.

Also I don't know how my boss knew my birthday was on sunday,
Motherboard came in today, so my desktop works again Big Grin
Decent night's sleep
good weather today
only had two classes
re-ripped a few of my favorite cd's (which for some reason I had on my computer but not in flac/>9000kbps)

Shit guys, today is pretty sweet.
Yoga in an empty lecture hall at night while playing music over the speaker system.

Just got a huge amount of work added to my job. I'm now working 15-20 hours a week as opposed to 1-3, and it pays $8.00 an hour. The job I've been working for them payed $7.25.

Is your job school related?

Just wondering because I can't fathom working 1-3 hours for $7.25 an hour for the money
Made a second attempt at making a white sauce from scratch for leftover pasta. This time, it was PERFECT!

You see, when there's no other work available, you take what you can get. Besides, it was really more of a side job. The girl who did the janitorial duties quit recently, so they asked me if I wanted it.
Just got home from an appointment with a temp agency, was told that a job I applied for is most nearly a shoo-in, barring some shenanigans from the supervisors over there. So happy, since this will be my first job and that it's been getting harder and harder to find a job without any experience.
I had lunch with a friend from Michigan today and then we squeezed in an hour of TF2. Hooray.
Now I'm in St. Louis.
We're in it to win it!
