Since starting to do daily core exercises (a long list of random types of crunches, pushups, squats, and pullups although they're not core), my posture while walking has gotten noticeable better. Unfortunately, my posture still sucks while sitting down.
fuck crunches. look up abdominal bridging, aka plank.
Your midsection will hate you.

I thought doing crunches/sit-ups was detrimental to posture. Apparently reverse sit-ups are better?
Planks are great.

I've been doing leg lifts on the roman chair for a long time and recently started doing planks and a few oblique exercises.
This, coupled with fat loss, has given me progress but I'm not quite at my goal of having visible abs yet. some day *sigh*
secret to low bodyfat percentage is literally all in your diet. you can't spot reduce fat.
Shouldn't we have a health/fitness thread?

There's not much to discuss. For "toning" diet is one of the most important things you get down before you even start exercising. It is literally just expending more calories than you take in, along with getting the necessary nutrients. Just cut the sugar, eliminate any sort of snacks that have little-to-no nutritional value, and eat smaller portions. If you're like me (a little more than overweight), then the first week or two is tough. As soon as you get used to it, you stop craving sweet food. Stick to fruit and veggies and you're set.
As for exercise, that's not really my department. All I know is that machine's are a joke and will get you nowhere. If you're not incredibly sore after the first workout, you're doing it wrong.

bent over barbell rows are superior in every way.
Went on a 45 mile bike ride today. The best part is that I don't even feel that sore.
Got a gift copy of Super MNC from someone I used to play games with.
I just carried $100 in groceries home myself. Goddamn it makes me feel good to be able to do this much.
AND NOW THE GMEN WON. FUCK YES.
