Today a representative of Wingnut Films talked to my class. Though it wasn't the great Peter Jackson, he still brought with him a Red Epic. 30 of it's cousins are being used to film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Was pretty awesome getting to use it for just a few minutes.

Those things make me drool.

The Reds, that is.

Not the hobbits.

...ok maybe they make me drool a little too.

Nice, I've been wondering how big those camera's are (or how you're supposed to operate them). What uni are you at?

Really? What kind of research are you doing in your lab?
Mine was studying cardiac hypertrophy but our lab doesn't get anything done so I kind of stopped. And it was only interesting when you could extract the heart fast enough to have it still beating on the petri dish.

And rats are 100x nicer to work with than mice.
FUCK YEAH. Finally did 5 sets of 5 reps of 165 pound (100 percent of my body weight) barbell squats (full ROM). 2 months ago I was doing the same weight with a shitty form and was only doing quarter squats or something like that. Feels good man. My legs feel like they are about to burst.

Seriously, that last fucking rep was like balancing on a rooftop edge.

Actually I'm pretty sure it's CM. I saw one from a video of Underworld Awakening and it was huge.
And considering the height in mm would make it 5.7in tall.

It's mm. That's pretty much just the sensor. When you see then in use they have a bunch of attachments.

I go to Vancouver Film School, and they do a lot of work with Wingnut. The camera was fully assembled, so it was pretty good size... Not recommended for guerilla filmmaking at all. Was a blast to work with one, and makes me want to save my monies for it.

Also those were mm. The camera body (which was shown) really isn't that big. It's when you pack everything else on to it, does it get big and tripod friendly.

Just downloaded KCVDS and am dueling against my friend. Fun stuff especially for deck experimentation. We're also excited from playing Duelist of the Roses today (Finally beat Tea after getting a deck that wasn't complete crap).

I used to play all kinds of yu-gi-oh. Then a bunch of my heavy hitters got banned, a big problem since I played in a group with a guy who made a big shit about tournament stuff.
