Instead of my regular old crusty robotics teacher, we had a dumb shit substitute and we just talked about drunk old men driving off the road for squirrels. It was awesome.

You've been in a $10 truck, the doors pop open randomly on the highway and the cab likes to slide on the frame rails.
It was early, stupid early. I was in full battle rattle- no other platoon in the battalion was. For some reason my platoon also drew heavy weapons (again, only one in the battalion to do so) so I was humping 2 extra barrels, my SAW, and my M4. We were doing a tactical movement to some field miles away where we would practice moving tactically so we could be proficient at it when our tactical movement training came next week. The platoon cadre were in slick uniform (no gear). When we crossed the LD it started raining. This made me very happy because it actually made sense.
Made Broccoli Beef again today, this was probably the best I've done it so far.
Note to self: Research on how to make water chestnuts a bit tastier.
