If you have flat feet even 1 - 2 miles will just destroy your legs. I can go for miles on an elliptical or bike, but running on a treadmill or on a trail and I'm fucked, even with good shoes :/
They have MST3K on Netflix.  ;D
I walked like a kilometer and a half from work today. Normally this is not a big deal, but I was wearing my skate shoes. Those fucking things are so flat... now I have blisters. AGAIN.

From now on only wearing running shoes/biking.

To those with flatter arches, I recommend using arch supports in your shoes..like this brand called Superfeet. It was recommended to me by a trainer at a tournament, and it works pretty well (I used to get shin splints). My two cents in the prevention of leg destruction Wink
and tell all your girl friends to stop wearing Uggs too. They are terrible for the calf/shin/knees (and are ugly... but I suppose that's all subjective).
I just heard they're opening a Raising Cane's 2 minutes from my house. Fuck yes.
Finished running part of a large-scale volunteer event in DC, shutdown almost rained on the event, we had a backup plan, but we got lucky and our volunteers came out

Took the job when I went to the last one of these on staff and told the director that I could do this particular part better and said I'd prove it by running it during the next one.

Early feedback is in, and it's all positive.

Check written. Check cashed. Feels good. Fuck yes!
props, man.

A few months ago, unknowingly amidst (constant) rumors that there was going to be a new Grey Knights codex, I lowballed a few friends in need of cash and acquired many many many metal Grey Knights miniatures for about $300.

The new Grey Knights codex for Warhammer 40,000 came out earlier this month. I just added up what all of this would run me if I wanted to use it all in-game, and including the two new minis I bought (Dreadknight and Stormraven, both new for this codex or the one right before it), it's over 4500 points. A typical game is in the 1500-2000 point range. I could play a game against myself, using an army people used to use single units of because they were so expensive (money wise). In retail terms, its easily $800+ of minis, which are all now in high demand because it's the newest codex out.

If I decided to flip this, I could make a ridiculous amount of money. Alternately, I can finish painting it, haul it down to the local store, and waggle my epeen at the other gamers. Either of these options brings a smile to my face. Choices, choices...
Had some of the best raspberry tea ever. Feels good man.

Hobbyists like to paint them themselves though.

[/quote]Adult hobbyists that have money and no time, who like tournament play (which requires 3-color standard), often buy painted armies. I've been playing this game for 15 years, it's actually quite common.
