I went to FurCon, and one of the dealer tables was selling top hats, goggles, books, and Dr. Grordbort's ray guns. I talked to the fellow with the goggles and the top hat and the goatee and found out he was a rep for Weta Works New Zealand. I asked him if he could hook me up with a sentry gun.

It's for an internship. I hope they have the sense of humor they seemed to on the how to apply page, because I ended with "I've always joked that internet law is something I'd do for free, I hope the EFF will give me the chance this summer."

I managed to score a nice TV for cheap off craigslist. I am now the proud owner of a 30 inch Sony TV (from 2002, so it's thick on the back) I got for $20. Pretty awesome IMO.

I now have a two monitor setup on my new desk in my room. 8)

Well... judging from the weight when we carried it back (all the way across campus), I'd say 100 is more accurate. Though my guess is around... 70 cause I can lift it myself if I need to.

That's ridiculous. I don't think this one weighs anywhere near as much (cause I can lift it by myself... and I'm not that strong), but that's still ridiculous.

I fell into possession of a PS3 for free. The laser seems to be broken, but I can play all the demos I'll ever need!
